Having a comfortable place to study and explore their knowledge is a key component for scholars to grow their learning and making our world a better place.
Lindsey Architecture was the Architect for this project located at Gateway Research Park's North Campus, resulting in the renovation of a currently vacant space into a Wet Room Lab, Molecular Lab, and classroom space for UNC Greensboro's Plant & Pollinator Center. Throughout the project, Lindsey Architecture led the collaboration between the design team, the contractors, and the University. The project scope included space planning, full architectural/interior construction documents, and construction administration.

Lindsey Architecture is currently working with Elizabeth City State University and Elizabeth City Regional Airport on a new flight training facility. The state-of-the-art facility includes a 3,000SF education building nestled between two 9,600SF hangars designed to inspire the next generation of pilots. The design team worked with both ECSU and the Elizabeth City Regional Airport Board to create a comprehensive program for both the hangars and the education building that meets both their current and anticipated future needs. The education building has many functions, including an area for a flight simulator, cafeteria, study areas, administration offices, briefing cubicles, and a classroom designed to foster collaboration between the students and instructors, and to create an imaginative learning environment.

Lindsey Architecture provided the design and project management for the installation of a new cooling tower at Southwest Elementary and 16-inch supplemental cooling units to provide cooling to interior classrooms during the winter as a part of the 2010 QSCB projects.
